I found this playground here in Smogtown, on the mainland near the lake, looking across at the island airport. I love this picture - and, think that this sort of whimsy should be included in more playgrounds, dammit. Most playgrounds look like little factories, boxy and square. This melds traditional fun-time technology with some inspirational sculpture, and colour, that impresses the heck out of my inner-child (and satisfies my inner safety-inspector).8.30.2005

I'm terrified of lion sculptures and getting stuck in pipes. I think playgrounds like this should never be made.
What ever happened to giving little kids plastic bags? Hours of fun can be had with a plastic bag.
