Adolf's Haircut?

This photo is of the sign outside a Kenora barbershop - during a summer make-work project for students, my cousin had to repaint it. I love the crazy Beatles hair on the guy, and the question mark included in the name of the place. You have to wonder what's being questioned: whether or not this is Adolf's haircut? Or, that Adolf cut the hair? Is it an expression of disbelief - that can't be Adolf's haircut, can it? The possibilites, while not endless, are certainly interesting. This is the sort of sign and establishment that gets rarer and rarer as more chains and big companies take over the retail business - you're not going to see such an oddity on a Supercuts sign.

I think the question mark represents that question of, "What is hiding under his hair? There must be something there that is being hidden. Maybe the da Vinci Code, or the secret to quantum uncertainty or his ear."
